The realization of The Table of Silence Project at Lincoln Center and via global live stream broadcast depends on the generosity of friends old and new. The costs of producing such a monumental, free, public performance event and translating it from interior rehearsals to the live, outdoor tribute are significant.
Since the inaugural performance tribute in 2011, more than 1000 dancers, musicians and volunteers have participated, and over 50,000 households have viewed the live stream simulcasts in all 50 states and in 102 countries including Guatemala, New Zealand, Russia, Italy, Venezuela, South Africa, Vietnam, Israel, Egypt, France, Belgium, and our troops in Afghanistan, among many. This living memorial to peace is recognized by Proclamations from Governor Andrew Cuomo, Mayor Bill de Blasio, and Consul General of Italy in New York, Natalia Quintavalle.
Your financial support allows us to share a message of hope, compassion, and tolerance with the world community. We are deeply grateful for every dollar you can give.
"Through dance, the Table of Silence Project has the ability to capture the grief, the devastation, and the memory of 9/11 that words cannot. I truly believe that the Table of Silence has the potential to promote peace and tolerance in my lifetime." - Table of Silence Dancer
